Khunying Natthika Wattanavekin Angubolkul, Chairperson ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network (AWEN) 2018-2020 gave the report on the objectives, activities and expected outcomes of the summit. Dr. Porrametee Vimolsiri, Permanent Secretary of Social Development and Humen Security Minister request HRH Princess to bestow the pins.
Thailand as the AWEN Chair 2018-2020 and ASEAN Chair 2019 hosted the first Women CEOs Summit to be held at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok Hotel from 30 to 31 October 2019. The summit aims to drive women entrepreneurs to be outstanding in the global level. It will address various policy and commercial aspects and dimensions relating to the theme topic. Attendance were 500+ participants comprising AWEN Members, Government Representatives, Business Leaders, Women Entrepreneurs, International Organizations, and Private Sector Entities in ASEAN, such as Business or Trade Associations, Chambers of Commerce, Business Councils, and Business Federations, as well as ASEAN Secretariat representatives.
The Summit has been convened by the ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network (AWEN) and Ministry of Social Development and Human Security of Thailand. It is being organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce Thailand, and ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network, and is an official event during Thailand’s 2019 ASEAN Chairmanship.
