“Workshop on Women in the Economy: Towards Women’s Economic Empowerment in the ASEAN Region”

organized by the US-ASEAN Connectivity through Trade and Investment (US-ACTI) a joint project of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the U.S. Department of State, and the USAID Trade and Competitiveness Activity in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs of Viet Nam (MOLISA) and the ASEAN Secretariat.

The objective of the workshop is to bring together policy makers and a wide range of stakeholders to dialogue on practical measures for addressing the needs of women in the digital economy and in the workforce more generally. ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs’ Network (AWEN), from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand attend this important workshop.

The representatives from AWEN are speakers on this important event. “Ms. Monette Iturralde-Hamlin”, PhilWEN and “ML Preeyapun Sridhavat”, AWEN Thailand are speakers in the session of “A Way Forward on Economic Policy for Women’s Economic Empowerment in ASEAN “ and “Ms. Thitapha Wattanapruttipaisan” is a speaker in the session of “Advancing Women’s Economic Empowerment in the ASEAN Region”
